Poland offshore wind targets have reached ~11 GW. According to PWEA and Wind Europe, the total capacity for OW development in Poland’s EEZ is ~ 28 GW. Within the framework of Phase I, - 5 project owners have been awarded CfDs in 2021, in total 5.9 GW has been awarded in 2021:
The first electricity from these offshore wind plants is expected in 2026.
As for Phase II of the OW development process, waiting for assessment, are over 100 applications for localizations prepared by international OW developers. All the Polish state-owned energy groups: Tauron, Enea, PGE and PKN Orlen, as well as private corporations as ZE PAK, are acting independently, jointly and/or in partnerships with international player.
From 2025 onwards, auction platform will be used. Next auctions will be held in 2025 and then 2027. Granted support for offshore farms in Phase 2 is of total capacity of 5 GW.
