Technology readiness (TRL)
Failed or inoperative gas lift equipment typically results in otherwise recoverable reserves being left in the reservoir, ultimately affecting the overall field economics. PTC’s unique retrofit gas lift recovery system, GoLift, enables immediate reinstatement of production with a design optimised for the remaining life of the well. In addition to improving profitability from accelerated production and lower OPEX, this retrofit option minimises GHG emissions compared to alternative remedial workover operations.
For a major UK operator, a platform based standalone wireline deployment of ‘GoLift’ saved £6.5 million and avoided 590 tCO2e emissions compared to a rig-based workover. In a subsea LWIV operation this equates to an £11 million cost saving and avoidance of 400 tCO2e emissions.
