Life extension and asset integrity of offshore pipeline through in-situ repairs caused by corrosion and mechanical damage can be challenging and costly.

Nautilus is a robotic solution for pipeline inspection and repair using advanced non-metallic technology, with metallic repairs features soon to be incorporated into the robot for life-extension capabilities. A 3D image of the pipeline is made available for the customer prior to commencing the repair process during which they may log into the Kongsberg Ferrotech real-time system to monitor and agree on decisions to be taken.

The robot can undertake online repairs and only requires low specification smaller vessels for deployment. It can undertake repairs in a significantly shorter time-frame compared to traditional methods, resulting in a 50% reduction in CO2e emissions impact.
