It is increasingly important for operators to meet ESG requirements and to retain their licence to operate, in particular with regards to emission reduction, when sanctioning new field developments.

Altera Infrastructure’s Next Generation FPSO solution is a low emission FPSO design including all currently available technology, which is adaptable to the ESG ambitions and specific requirements of offshore oil & gas companies. The solution includes best available technologies such as hydrocarbon blanketing, flare gas recovery and power generation, amongst others.

The Next Generation FPSO can be modified to target an average emission intensity ranging from 12 kg CO2e/boe down to close to zero emissions over the lifetime of the FPSO deployment, depending on the equipment and solutions selected by the client.
