Value proposition

We provide a technical-engineering Software as a Service (SaaS) for ensuring safe & efficient subsurface storage of CO2 by injection optimization. Our solution is fully digital, enabling us to service nationally and internationally.

The main challenge with CO2 storage is the risk of subsurface leakage (in our experience 1 out of 3 wells will have a leakage). Any leakage is an environmental and economic problem, as additional CO2 has been produced along the value chain of the CCS process, hence this would be a lose-lose situation.

Our solution is an early warning detection & prevention SaaS, which we have successfully used in the oil industry for a decade for the same purpose. Our software, with automated input and output, converts raw-metering data into operation insight, to achieve performance gains (storing more CO2 in the same well), risk control (less leakages, ensuring zero discharge), and cost savings (more efficient storage operations) for CO2 storage injection operations.

Our solution will bring the leakage factor down from 33% to 0.1%, the CO2 emission reduction can be significant, relative to how much CO2 is being stored. This helps operators to have better risk control (less leakages, ensuring zero discharge), cost savings (more efficient storage operations) & performance gains (storing more CO2 in the same well)

Geomec has a decade of experience handling the disposal storage wells of ConocoPhillips Norway (CoPNo) on Ekofisk and Eldfisk with great success. References and a technical showcase can be provided for a partner. Geomec is in the process of launching an extension of the CLIMIT project in which the core technology was developed.

This is Best Available Technology to ensure that what you store does not leak, and thus reduce emissions significantly (proportional to the CO2 amount injected/stored.
