Value proposition

When executing an arctic project there is a need for a project management organization with experience from arctic challenges. These challenges need to be addressed when planning the project and concept to be applied for the development.

Aker Solutions has proven experience from managing projects in arctic and sub-arctic areas. The list consists of the Snøhvit LNG project (sub-arctic climate), Sakhalin I and II gravity based structures (offshore the Sakhalin Island) and the on-going Johan Castberg FPSO design (the Norwegian Barents Sea).

Project management experience from arctic projects ensures a safe development and reduces the risk when going into arctic projects. The understanding on how the arctic environment impacts the design and project execution is vital for success.
