Dynamic Rig Heave Limit and RIH Speed Limit Simulations

Value proposition

Our proprietary surge & swab software takes into account the influence of rig heavewhen calculating surge & swab margin for tripping/pulling drill pipe, liner/casing or completion string. We call our method for Dynamic Rig Heave and RIH Speed Limit. For drilling, we take into account reservoir pressure margins (pore, wellbore collapse and frack pressures). We completions, we can also simulate the limits based on the maximum allowable annular flow past packer elements.

We have built a solid case history with >25 wells in Norway, Brasil and Australia and can show reduction of WOW by 1-2 days. We perform all our simulations during well engineering and no integration with the rig and minimum operator follow-up is required. Results are delivered within a few weeks.
