Technology readiness (TRL)
Flaring is a significant contributor to GHG emissions worldwide and eliminating this is an ongoing challenge for operators working towards reducing carbon intensity.
NOV Wellstream’s Zero Flaring system for offshore eliminates flaring completely by recovery of the flare gas and also captures vapour from cargo tanks during filling/offloading.
Further, NOVs membrane-based flare gas recovery system increases the recovery of NGL, has a smaller footprint, and a 15 - 20% CAPEX cost reduction compared to conventional flare gas recovery systems (which NOV also supplies). An example of an actual GHG reduction case estimated 85-95 kt CO2 annually, equivalent to between 18490 – 20660 fossil fuel cars per year.
Identified as a Lower Emissions Oil and Gas Solution (LEOG). Use company contact for detailed value proposition.
