Value proposition

“The Screen Saver Valve is a cost effective insurance to protect and expensive sand control completion from unwanted sand influx at the toe” – Neptune Completion Engineer. The Screen Saver Valve (SSV) is run in collaboration with sand screens with AICD/ICD's or Stand Alone Screens with inner sting, that will allow for circulation, but also protect against any inflow during the lifetime of the well. An added value of the SSV is its adjustable opening pressure. The adjustable opening pressure up to 200psi will allow operators to run the lower completion while maintaining a pressure overbalance inside the screens. This prevents ‘dirty’ wellbore fluid and debris from entering the string and plugging the screens. The SSV was developed in collaboration with Det Norske Oljeselskap and the Ivar Aasen field. It has since replaced conventional float collar in Lower Completion strings in AkerBP, Neptune, Vår Energi and Equinor (Troll field). Conventional float collars are phenolic/plastic that is cemented in place. They are designed for a quick drillout, and not a completion application. Over time the plastic can risk crack that can lead to leakage and eventually washout. This will lead to unwanted production of water, gas and sand at the toe of the string. By installing Toolserv`s Screen Saver Valve, operators can ensure no unwanted influx for the lifetime of the well. Its inconell metal2metal seal is a reliable solution that can allow high flow during RIH. The unique combination of Metal2Metal seal and adjustable opening pressure has enabled the Norwegian operators to safely deploy their screens in over 150 wells since it was designed in 2015. Ensuring production integrity of the screens and ICD valves are maintained. The SSV deployment and installation rate of success is 100%. The valve has been continuously developed based on operator’s requirement. The SSV comes in 3 configurations based on opening pressure. The Toolserv engineering team persistently work to increase the performance and cost of SSV and ACF for add value to operators world wide. In addition to the SSV and AFC, Toolserv has design multiple products on spec from operators in Norway and UK.
