Norway's investment in CO₂ capture, transport and storage includes a host of activities, from research and development to full-scale demonstration and international advancement of CCS. Some key activities/achievements include;

  • Since 1996, the Sleipner CCS project has captured up to 1mtpa of CO2 and stored in the Utsira formation
  • Since 2008, the Snøhvit project has been injecting ~0.7mtpa of CO2
  • Since 2012, the CO2 Technology Centre Mongstad (TCM) has been testing CO2 capture technologies from multiple companies around the world. TCM is the largest test centre in the world for CCS technology that is open to independent testing.
  • …and in 2020, the Northern Lights project took FID. Northern Lights will be the first to deliver cross-border CO2 transport and storage as a service.

Join us to discover unique competences and technologies in the growing CCS market!

The event will be rounded off with a cocktail reception with clients and contractors for an opportunity to network in a relaxed setting.
